Your contact information will then be forwarded to the PTA board member or committee chair who is leading this committee. Please be on the lookout for a follow-up email with more information.

All volunteers must have a background check on file with the district to volunteer on campus. Background checks need to be renewed annually and can be completed after July 1st for the new school year. Please click here to be redirected to the background check portal.

On-Site Opportunities

Hospitality Team
Assist our Hospitality Coordinator with planning, decorating, baking, and/or setting up for PTA teacher appreciation and hospitality events throughout the year (e.g. back-to-school breakfast, coffee/tea cart, trail mix bar, etc.).

Viking Store
Help run our Viking Store each Friday. Students will get to shop at the store and buy prizes with the Viking Bucks they have earned for positive behavior.

Spirit Wear
Assist our Spirit Wear coordinator with sorting and distributing items when they arrive, or with inventory counts.

Wednesday Workroom Crew
Also known as our "Cutting Edge Crew". Assist in the workroom (cutting, laminating, etc.) usually once a week on Wednesday mornings. This is a fun group of volunteers who not only support our amazing teachers but also grow close and have fun doing it.

Dudes on Campus (DOC)
This group is made up of dads, grandpas, uncles, and other male role models and father figures to help out around campus. Our goal is to increase the presence and involvement of male figures volunteering in our school. Dudes on Campus may be asked to help with the car rider line, help set up for events, and more.

Field Day
Help volunteer on Field Day - March 13th, 2026. We will need help all day, but different shifts will be available for sign up. Submit your interest here and our Volunteer Coordinator will reach out to you with the signup list closer to Field Day.

Library & Book Fair Volunteer
Sign up here if you're interested in helping Ms. Achiu in the library or with book fairs. You will be contacted when help is needed.

Sparkle Squad
Are you crafty? Let's get together to help decorate for Lakeview events! We'll need help with creating backdrops and decorating for back to school, events like Literacy Night, Fall Movie Night, Healthy Minds Night, end-of-year ceremonies, and more!

General Help at School!
We often will need late-minute volunteers at school for various tasks (hanging up things for a project, helping with set up for an event, etc.). If you are willing to be on-call to help with these various tasks, let us know!

At Home Help

At-Home Help
Help PTA with cutting, sorting, organizing, stuffing, etc. This will be things you can pick up and complete at home such as labeling bags, counting flyers, and other similar tasks.

Committee - Sponsorships
Assist the Fundraiser Chair and Sponsorship Coordinator with soliciting for sponsorships, gift cards, monetary donations, and in-kind donations from the community and local businesses. (Anyone can do this at any time!)

Committee - Fall Movie Night
Assist the Fundraising Chair with planning and organizing the Fall Movie Night happening on November 14, 2025.

Committee - Auction
Our Auction Coordinators will need help with asking for donations and soliciting items to auction off at our Silent Auction that happens in the Fall (concurrent with Fall Movie Night).

Committee - Carnival
This committee is led by our Fundraising Chair and we'll need help with planning and organizing the Spring Carnival.

Homeroom Parent or Helper

Let us know if you're interested in being a Room Parent or Room Parent Helper! The room parent will serve as a liaison between the classroom parents, the teacher, and PTA. This parent will help communicate important information to their class parents (via a text group or email group for example), coordinate and help the teacher with class parties - or find a volunteer to help with this task, coordinate the class auction item, help with the class door decoration contest, and more. They will no longer be in charge of running the Viking Store.

For details about the job, you can visit our Room Parent Guide here. We would like to have room parents selected by the end of August.
