potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.

Volunteer Orientation - Virtual Version

Back to school events!

July 23rd - Pre-K / Kinder Orientation will be from 5-6pm
August 6th - Meet the Teacher Night will be from 5-6pm, followed by our Welcome Back Social from 6pm-7pm. Find your classroom, meet your teachers, and drop off your school supplies!
August 11th - First Day of School - welcome to all Vikings, old and new!
August 14th - Coffee & Donuts Mix & Mingle will be right after drop off - open to all parents and families
August 20th - Our first Spirit Night at Willie's Ice House (more deets to come...)

Supplies received from Sugar Mill PTA and/or supplies using the district list are also acceptable
If you need financial assistance with school supplies, please submit a Treasured Viking form, and PTA can assist!

Join PTA!

Our new fiscal year has officially started and you can now sign up or renew your PTA membership for the 2026-27 school year!
PTA members do NOT need to volunteer or attend meetings, we simply ask that you join to show your support! All members of the family can join including your kid(s)!
Membership only costs $10 per person!

Join the PTA Leadership Team for 2026-27

We have two spots available on our leadership team - the Advocacy Coordinator and the Sunshine Committee Coordinator!
- Advocacy Coordinator
  - Familiarize yourself with local, state, and federal policies and legislation affecting public schools and education
  - Educate and advocate for Lakeview families on these policies and legislation and how these affect them
  - Keep the PTA up to date on public education policies and legislation by working with coordinators and presenting at PTA board meetings
- Sunshine Committee Coordinator:
  - Packing and delivering birthday grams to students on their birthdays
  - Purchasing small gifts for staff members on appreciation days (e.g. Custodian Appreciation Day, Counselor Appreciation Week, Principal Appreciation Day, etc.)
  - Leading the Sparkle Squad - a group of volunteers who decorate for events such as back to school, award ceremonies, hospitality events, Fall Movie Night, and more

Treasured Viking Fund

Families who need assistance with expenses for school-related items can apply for assistance through our Treasured Viking Fund application.
Items that could be covered include, but are not limited to: spirit shirts, Field Day shirts, 5th Grade class shirts, school supplies, club fees / dues, and more.
Please note your request will need to be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to the deadline (of the event / item).
Donations to our Treasured Viking Fund are also appreciated.
