The Lakeview Elementary Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a volunteer partnership between parents, guardians, grandparents, community members, and the Lakeview teachers and administrators who strive to make every child's potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.

End-of-Year Summary

School Supplies for 2024-25 School Year

  • Parents and guardians may choose to buy school supply packs from our school supply vendor (EPI) or buy supplies on your own. If buying supplies on your own, you may use the district-supplied list or our customized school supply list (created by each grade level) - see below for school supply lists for each grade.
  • Ordering school supply packs through EPI is online only and orders must be placed by June 16th. School supply packs will be shipped directly to your home. Please label supplies and bring to school on "Meet the Teacher Night" or on the first day of school.
  • To order online, go to and search for our school using the code "LAK008" (3 letters + 3 numbers). **Optional headphones are for grades 3-5 only; already included in PK-Grades 2 packages.**
  • Of note, we are providing this service primarily for your convenience and not as a way to raise money.

Interested in joining the PTA Leaders? We need your help!

  • Join our amazing PTA leadership team! We have already filled all of our spots with the exception of Parliamentarian and the Viking Store Coordinator.
  • The Parliamentarian needs to attend all of our executive meetings (once per month) and assist with facilitating the voting using Robert's Rule of Order. Ideally, the Parliamentarian would have an interest in serving on the board in the future, since they have more exposure by being on the board and will able to get an inside view of how the PTA operates.
  • The Viking Store Coordinator is in charge of running our PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) store. Students earn “bucks” for positive behavior which they can redeem at our Viking Store. This volunteer will be responsible for purchasing prizes for our store, pricing them, and managing the volunteer sign-up list for the store to ensure there are at least 2 volunteers to run the store (it does not have to be the coordinator). The store runs weekly for ~1-1.5 hours (alternates between PK-2nd and 3rd-5th grades each week). This role requires a full school year commitment. Time: approx 4-8 hours per month.
  • Email us at if you have any questions or if you are interested!

Spring Carnival Highlights

  • Huge thank you to all of our teacher, parent, and student volunteers who helped out at the carnival! We could NOT have done this without your help! Thank you to Kempner HS, and the National Art Honor Societies at Kempner HS and Clements HS who helped with face painting.
  • If you volunteered at our carnival, we would love your feedback! Fill out a short survey here to help us make the next one even better:
  • If you attended the carnival, we would also love to hear from you. Fill out this survey to help us make the next carnival better:
