Congratulations to our students, faculty, and staff at Lakeview Elementary!

In the TEA ratings for the 2021-2022 school year, Lakeview Elementary earned an A Rating and distinction for academic growth. This is an amazing accomplishment, and we are so proud of all the hard work put forth by our students, teachers, administration, and staff.

Textile Recycling Drive is currently going on!

  • Drop off any old/used textiles such as clothes, shoes, bags, stuffed animals, linens, purses in our green bin in the car rider line this week. From now until April 14th, our school will earn double the amount we normally do (20 cents per pound!).
  • We made over $600 during our last textile recycling drive in the Fall.
  • This is an easy way to support your school AND declutter while helping reduce trash in the landfills. :)

Join us on April 24th at Chuy's for Spirit Night!

  • Grab some dinner at Chuy's Sugar Land from 4PM-9PM on Wednesday, 4/24.
  • Chuy's will graciously donate 10% of your order to LVE PTA.
  • Just show the image below or, if you're ordering online, use promo code LAKEVIEW at checkout.

Spring Carnival Highlights

  • Huge thank you to all of our teacher, parent, and student volunteers who helped out at the carnival! We could NOT have done this without your help! Thank you to Kempner HS, and the National Art Honor Societies at Kempner HS and Clements HS who helped with face painting.
  • If you volunteered at our carnival, we would love your feedback! Fill out a short survey here to help us make the next one even better: https://forms.gle/kPNPxWi1AVYyZ7R98
  • If you attended the carnival, we would also love to hear from you. Fill out this survey to help us make the next carnival better: https://forms.gle/HJDmR7LNYeaENgbx6

Interested in joining the PTA Leaders? We need your help!

  • Join our amazing PTA leadership team! We have already filled all of our spots with the exception of Parliamentarian and the Viking Store Coordinator.
  • The Parliamentarian needs to attend all of our executive meetings (once per month) and assist with facilitating the voting using Robert's Rule of Order. Ideally, the Parliamentarian would have an interest in serving on the board in the future, since they have more exposure by being on the board and will able to get an inside view of how the PTA operates.
  • The Viking Store Coordinator is in charge of running our PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) store. Students earn “bucks” for positive behavior which they can redeem at our Viking Store. This volunteer will be responsible for purchasing prizes for our store, pricing them, and managing the volunteer sign-up list for the store to ensure there are at least 2 volunteers to run the store (it does not have to be the coordinator). The store runs weekly for ~1-1.5 hours (alternates between PK-2nd and 3rd-5th grades each week). This role requires a full school year commitment. Time: approx 4-8 hours per month.
  • Email us at pta@lvepta.org if you have any questions or if you are interested!
